EAD vs h1 extension

Hi All,
I am on H1 now and It will expire in Nov,2004. I have applied for I-485/EAD/AP on Feb 3rd,2004. I have got RFE on EAD for clear photo copy of passport. My wife is in India now and will be back by Sep 1st( before h4 expiration date).

1)Can you pl. advise me whether I should go for H1 extension or wait for EAD approval.

2) Is it safe for my wife to enter US before her H4 expiration date ??

You have plenty of time unitl Nov-04. You can wait until the last moment to apply for renewal of H-1B.
If you can spare money going forward our your company is willing to keep you on H-1B then it's better to keep that as a backup incase your I-485 gets
denied. However, that's very rare.

You can work on EAD/change jobs if you would like. Extending H-1B can be costly.

Hi,
And also I for got to mention my company applied for my I-485 after my I-140 approval only. Since my i-140 approved already do u think I will be safe to go on EAD without extending H1
