Need some advice with this. I am on an H1B till mid Aug 2003. My 485 was filed in May 2003 (I-140 already approved). My company has filed for an H1 extension in Feb 2003. Of course I haven't received the actual H1 approval yet, but as long as I have a receoit, I can work for an additional 240 days.
Now I have an offer from another group in the same company. The problem is it is a different state. So after 6 months I could take it up. But since I am on H1 and don't have an EAD could this be a problem? Will I need an H1 amendment before transferring?
I am thinking of getting an interim EAD. Does anyone have any details of what exactly is n interim EAD? Are there any advantages/ disadvantages to giving uo my H1 and working on EAD?
