EAD valid for 2 years!!

Good News ??I am not so sure

Glass Half Empty: It probably gives them an incentive now to further delay the processing of the 485 applications.

Glass Half Full: But of course over a period of time this should reduce the number of applications (as far as EAD applications are concerned) and potentially free resources up for other work such as 485 applications.

That is great!

Thanks for the good news, RSur!
Does this mean that USCIS will start issuing AP and EAD with two year validity?

I think it's bad news. How long do we have to wait? How many EAD cards do we need? (now it's 3 EAD cards and 3 years and according to the new policy it will be 2 EAD cards and 4 years). What a nightmare!

1/2 glass full

I'd like to think that it frees resources for more processing. I am reluctant to celebrate, I'd like to see more evidence that it is really happening. Nothing before that...

I would like to see what they can do to deduce the backlog ... though H1 cab reached and EAD has a 2 y long now... this time USCIS should have more man power to join in the product line of i485 ??? .... alway a black hole...!!!

you are right

indeed you are, these are all small signs, but we need to see them do something about the everlasting I-485 approval wait....
