hi,
If I am changing jobs from Employer A to Employer B while working on EAD, is it okay to have a gap of 2 weeks in between? I just want to take a break for 2 weeks before I join my next employer.
Does INS require you to work continuously while you are on EAD?

thanks!

Yes you can definitely take a break , they don't care but still I am not a lawyer.

I also planning for one sooner

Your pending 485 takes care of your legal status.
You DON'T have to be working at all.

The ONLY requirement is that you need to start working for the sponsoring employer AFTER your 485 is approved.

Of course, if you are not the principal applicant in 485, you really have no restrictions -- you can sleep all day forever ;)

wow!!! for a change, else we keep worrying on not to lose job

So that means we don't have to work now but we need to have a job for future employment....

Sounds good ...i never knew this ....

Yes its true --- GC is only for future employment -- this is nothing new -its always been the case.

Typically folks start working for GC sponsor after filing 485 -- this is not mandatory, but its very common
