Hi:
I applied for EAD renewal about 3.5 months ago to the Vermont Service Center. Two weeks after my EAD application, my pending I-485 was transfered to Washington, DC area local INS office, but not my EAD application. I received notice of action that Vermont was going to precess the EAD. Three days ago (about 94 days after receipt date), while I was waiting to receive my EAD, the terrible news arrives that Vermont had transfered my EAD application to local office also.
My question is:
1. Because my current EAD expires in 10 days, should I go in person to local INS office in Washington, DC?
2. If I go in person, should I ask them for interim EAD or for EAD renewal?
How should I explain to them the situation? The fact is that I received notice of action from Vermont saying they were processing it (Vermont Service Center), and they failed to respond within 90 days. Do I qualify for an interim EAD on the spot at the local office? They also have my I-485 file. How much
info should I give them about the situation? How to handle this?
3. Could I also get my wife's EAD documents with me and apply on her behalf for her EAD without her being there?
PLEASE GIVE YOUR FEED-BACK today if p[ossible, I plan to go tomorrow.
