How long is it taking EAD approvals from TSC? I still have 8 months, wondering if I should apply now or wait for 2-3 more months.

Any recent approvers please give your insight.

thx

I had mine approved in 2 months

My EAD renewal was approved recently in 2+ months of ND. Still waiting for my wife's EAD approval although we applied together and have the same ND of Feb 12, 2003. Not sure if my case is one of the classic anomolies of TSC !!!!!

RD : Feb 11th 2003

Our current EAD is going to expire in May 07th. We don't have that exact 90 days gap to go and get personally. We are going to wait until May 1st, after that we should go to the service center. Is any one got interim EAD card before 90 days. If any of you been at SanAntonio, could give us more details.

Thanks

Keep it more than 90 days.

My suggestion is to always apply before 90 days of expected expire of the previous one. This will give you a right to get an IEAD if EAD does get delayed for some reason.
Simple logic no feel for their speed of processing.

I will say apply at least 4 to 5 month before expiry date. It is on paper that we can go to local office and get I-EAD on 91st day. But in reality there are situation where, when you go to the local office on 91st day and they may give an appointment to come and collect the I-EAD after 4 to 5 weeks.

During this period, it is considered as GAP. It is better to apply before hand rather than sitting at home without work ( If your employer insist that physical card is required ) . OR going around local/ District office.

ok fine

Since we are late by 5 days to the 90 days timeline. Can you go for an IEAD, Is anyone had this kind of experience.

Thanks

485_andhra, Now a days most of the centers won't issue an iEAD unless 90 days are over. Infact what I have read in this forum is that after 90 days some ASC have started giving appointments for later dates, hence no walk-in iEADs....
