I am a H1-B holder currently applying to GC through employment. My husband is also applying together with me and he is a student holding F-1 Visa. He is planning to find a job when he gets his EAD since he will be graduating soon. My question is if he does gets a job using his EAD, can he apply for his own H1-B and then apply for GC as well ? I'm really afraid that we will both lost our status if I get laid off and lost my green card. if he is able to apply for H1-B after he gets a job using EAD, then at least we still have his status.
