The following are the events.
1. Me and my spouse applied for I485 on July30.
2. We went to india during last week of august and returned during by 15 sept 07.
3. We had our visa stamps of old employer, expiring by 30 sept 07, on our passports and were carrying our H extension papers of new employer, which were valid till Feb 2009.
4. At the POE, the officer gave a new I94 valid till 30 Sept 07, as per the old visa stamp on our PP.
5. We filed for our H extensions by 25 Sept. Yet to receive the receipts for this.
6. We got the receipts for our I485/EAD by 28 Sept.
7. Received our EAD cards by 5 Oct.
Questions.
1. If I need to apply for SSN for my Spouse, I-94 is needed. Since the I-94 issued at POE is already expired, will that cause any problem to issue SSN.
I plan to carry the orginal H extension papers with valid date till 2009(Issued before my travel), along with my spouse EAD Card.
Should I wait for our new H extension filing receipts, and show them in SSN office
