your wife should go and apply for a SSN at the local office
use this SSN number when filing your tax return.
your wife could have gotten her SSN earlier when on H4 (the reason could have been for her to get a drivers license, or because she needed it for you guys to file a tax return)
but she would have needed to get a new SSN card anyways when she got EAD.

Yes, your wife can get SSN now using EAD. By the time you file your taxes if she gets her SSN then use it else use ITIN. Also note that while applying for SSN I guess you need to specify that she has ITIN now, and also once you get SSN you need to notify IRS that she got SSN now.

EAD not received
hi,
my husband applied for I485 in august for the both of us. EAD and Advance Parole were also filed with the same. My husband received his EAD card. However, My EAD and advance parole applications have been mispalced. Now the lawyer has given us a set of letters, my 485 receipts and asked to go to the local INS off for the EAD.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

My husband has got his AP but neither his nor my EAD have arrived and my AP hasn\'t either. Our lawyer just replied us today saying that he will send us the necessary paperwork if we want and we will have to file for the interim EAD card at the local INS office. So you\'re not alone, apparently this happens.
