Now to answer your questions - if the husband is working at the company that has sponsored him, then he needs to remain employed there till the adjustment happens - or if he wants to change jobs, then he needs to wait till the I-=485 has been filed for at least 6 months and then move on to another similar job. He can, however, take up ANY employment on the side or start up ANY type of business as long as his existing employer doesn\'t have any issues with it.
As for the spouse, she can work at absolutely ANYTHING now - whether she was employed or not prioir to obtaining the EAD. She can do anything from working at McDonalds to working as a company executive or starting her own business.
