This same issue popped up during my last H1B renewel. Now it continues. My AP and EAD have French Polynesia as the country of citizenship ( Should be Australia ). It took me 3 months to correct the H1B ... Now should I bother chasing the AP and EAD ... Whats the bet the GC will have wrong country on it as well.
Has this happened to any of you people - Any advice?

Looks like you have a few alternatives :

(1) Get a french polynesian accent - that should be a hit with the girls/guys here.
(2) Settle in French Polynesia - that place should be paradise if the French haven't nuked it flat yet.
(3) "I am from the French Polynesia - the exotic tropical paradise, I will now nibble your ears since that is how we say hello"
(4) "To the ignorant the meatloaf will seem burnt but that is actually it is a rare French Polynesian recipe that took me hours to cook. So shut up and eat."

Don't worry mate , if the INS screws up - a letter from your lawyer should fix everything in a jiffy.

Hmm Tahiti would be nice :)

ha ha, at least they didn't make it iraq :)
Apparently this French Polynesia thing is a quite common mistake by the INS when processing Australians and has been going on for years. Fortunately I'm quite content to stay with current employer only and H1B has a couple of years left. Just thought I'd share my bizzare INS experience.
Cheers
