EAD RFE - Gurus please shine some light

I just checked on the status of my EAD renewal application, it says

On August 21, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice. Please contact the service center where you submitted your application during business hours.


Can someone guess what kind of RFE it could be?

I also got an RFE for EAD. They asked for new photos.

RD 12/26/01
FP1 3/30/02
FP2 8/1/03
RFE Resp Recd 6/25/03
 
manual application

I filed manual application. I noticed my last name spelled
incorrectly on my receipt # and also noticed the A number is missing. I called 2 weeks back BCIS and requested for correction.
May be they wanted more info in that direction??

Did you apply for EAD yourself or through some attorney?

Which documents do we need to attach with the EAD application? EAD application does not mention anything other than photos, fee and I-485 reciept copy.

I applied myself not through attorney. If it is for renewal then
You will have to submit Photo copy of previous EAD (front & back) for renewals.

2 photos (as prescribed by INS methods)
I-94 copy (front & back)
$120 fees

Is copy of I485 receipt is also required for EAD or not?
I will be applying it for the first time.

Sorry I can not provide a definite answer. My first EAD was applied along with my 485 application.

Since you are separately applying for EAD I believe it is better to include 485 Receipt Copy or make sure you properly indicate your "A" number in I765 application so that BCIS will reference that file.

Also the EAC # is only a receipt for 485 application where as "A"
number is the file # that BCIS uses for all correspondence
related to your case.

Anyone else having better thoughts please respond to this.

Attach I-485 receipt notice
I-140 Approval notice / If not approved I-140 receipt notice
If EAD renewal, Copy of old EAD and letter along with old EAD on which they have mentioned you’re a#
