EAD required to continue work

Hi Folks,

  My H1 is expiring on 30 Sept 2001. The following are my EAD/485 details

VSC
RD 06/04/01
ND 08/06/01

Is it possible to get EAD from Newark local INS office, On Sept 4 I will be completing 90 days from RD. Please advice if this is possible and if possible what documents are required etc ....
Is an appointment at the local office required. ?

Option 1: You can ask your employer to file for extension of H1.
option 2: If you already filed for EAD at the service centre
          you can go to the local office after 90 days and get
          the EAD. If not I am not sure.

I am seeing some EAD approvals for people who filed in June.
Call INS and find out the status. You should get it any time
now (if you applied for EAD).
