EAD renewel

If I apply for renewel of EAD 2 weeks before expiration date,than If I do not receive renewel by the expiration date can my wife conitnue to work

Your ead or your wife's ead renewal ?

As far as i know, you should have a valid ead card to work.
Just applying is not a possibility, i think.
if u applied 90 days before, you can get interim EAD
at local INS. Also some local INS allow you to get EAD in a day
on personal appearance.
