EAD renewed at local office NJ

I got my EAD renewed at Newark, NJ office.
had applied in Oct. (Received an interview letter for today 2 weeks ago). Newark office calls for interview. It was like a formality. Officer just asked for passport and old EAD.

Cool.....
My wife also got a same day parole.
 
I like to go for an interim EAD at Newark NJ. I am already completed 90 days after applying at VSC.
Please let me know what are the documents you need to carry? Do you need to carry 2 phots? What is the ideal time to be there in the queue. How is the rush? Please reply...

I had applied at Newark. So I had received an appointment letter for today (8.30 to 9.30). I reached there at 7.45

People had already lined up. I got in around 8.30 (wasn't that bad). But this was the appointment line. There is a separate line for walkins. Surprisingly that line was shorter. I don't know why.

I think if you reach at 7.30 you should be in by 8/8.30. After that it might be bad.

Documents:
As I said I had an appointment letter. They had asked me to carry following documents:
Proof of filing
Checks or money orders (I never kept them - so dint carry)
Old and new passports
Old EAD
copy of 485 receipt

These were required documents i carried with me. Old EAD was required to be surrendered.

Also at bottom of letter they had a small section saying carry all previous approval notices like LC, I140 approvals. I din't carry any of these (I never had them - my lawyer sucks).

Does anyone know how long the vaild period for interim EAD? half year or a year? Will VSC still send me another EAD card after I apply interim from local office?

Interim EAD is valid for 8 months/240 days. Yes, still you will receive regular EAD from VSC. Probably, VSC does not have any record for inerim EAD.
