EAD renewed: 485 message changed

Hi everyone,

About a month ago I sent in i765 to renew my EAD. Yesterday I got the email that the case was approved, and today I got the email that a card has been ordered.

Here's where it gets interesting: I get another email today regarding my 485 case, saying "On November 16, 2005, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."

My case is actually pending just about a year now. I wasn't expecting any changes in the near future due to retrogression. At most maybe a LUD because of the EAD renewal. But definitely not change of the date received!!!

Should I be concerned or should I just ignore this?

Very Wierd...Please do call them once and find out...

I don't see as a problem but call them and clear your head atleast..
 
Same here.

On Oct 31 my AP was approved and I see an LUD for the same date on the I-485 but the message has not changed since the fingerprint data was updated and that was in March 05.

Call VSC

Call VSC and mentioned this right now.
If they really changed 485 RD date then you will loose a year better call them.
 
Hold on... Read this

Day before yesterday, I called the Vermont service center and the representative told me that about 7k cases were transferred back to VSC.

She told me that if I need AP, I can go to the local DO but for EAD and other inquiry, we should contact or file with VSC.


Hope that they keep the original receipt date.

I just called USCIS (Vermont), and the lady confirmed that my case was received back from the local office, and is now "on the shelf". The thing is I wasn't even aware that my case went to the local office in the first place...

They still have the original receipt date in their records, so I'm not worried.
