when is the good time to renew ead? 3-4 months??

do they take into account and start from the first EAD expiration
date or they consider 1 year from whenever they receive it?

Takes about 4 weeks

I applied for EAD extension around 6/17/02.
Got the extension by 7/19/02. My old EAD expires 9/16/02.
New EAD effective from 9/16/02 - so they check and give the new EAD to be effective after the old one expires even if you apply well in advance.
 
EAD Vs. RFE

Is there any link between renewing EAD in 3 or 4 advance and RFE? When I was talking to my friends some of them expressed that if we renew EAD well in advance then it will be assumed by the NSC that you are working for a different company than sponsoring company on EAD and certainly get RFE. Is this true?

that is not true. INS is lacking budget and manpower. they
don't have resources to dig into something that is totally absurd.
 
How long did it take to get the receipt notice ? I applied about 2 weeks back for my EAD renewal and I have'nt recd the receipt notice yet. My attorney says it will take 5 weeks. Is this true. Also how long does it take to get the EAD Card ???
