EAD Renewal

PD Oct 1997, RD July 5th 2001, RFE May 20th 2002, Rfe received by INS June 1st, 2002, EAD expiration date Aug 22, 2002

Looks like I may need to renew my EAD (using this for a part-time secondary job), since I see not much of a progress. Could any of you post as to what are the documents needed to renew the EAD and does it really require a attorney to do this. How many months/days does it take for an approval. Please post your experience.
 
Wait for atleast one week

My RD 7/2 , RFE Date 5/21 , RFE Recvd by INS on 6/5 and EAD expirty date Aug 22. My case is so similar to yours. Except MY case got apporved on 6/27. So yours may be approved within this week.

Once you reply to RFE within a month your case gets approved. Very rarely (5% may be) it may take 6-7 weeks. However I saw few cases in this board whose case got transferred to local INS (that means another 2-3 months delay) even after replying to RFE. You can take a chance and wait till end of this week.

If you do not hear anything till this weekend - call IIO and talk to them and ask them what you shud do. EAD renewal shud not take more than a month.
