EAD renewal

I'm waiting for my EAD renewal, my question is:

if the new EAD2 does not arrive in time and EAD1 expires, can I still continue to work on my valid H1b visa; or do I have to take a "forced vacation"?

I guess u should be able to revert to H1B if it is still valid.

Only thing could be, you might have to re-enter US with your H1 (not AP) to get your status updated with INS.

Check with your attorney to be sure.
