What needs to be the date for Question # 11 i.e., receipt date of originally applied for or apporval date? I am applying for my first renewal myself.

I have written my name and A# on the back of my photograph with a pen instead of a pencil, as instructed in instruction booklet of I-765. Does this be a problem?

Thanks in Advance.

1. It is the date of approval of your previous EAD, if it is renewal, otherwise it is -None-
2. That is not an issue, I always used pen, got the approvals. Good Luck.

Do not use e-file. Send your paper by mail. That's my suggestion from my painful experience.

I agree with yl8401.
whatever else you do will work and you will get approved,
use pen, marker, etc..
But don't e-file..
:D

I will go even one step further to what goastros has said with a humor.. Even if you miss the application fee it is OK.. but Do not E-file.. Even if you get RFEs for everything you missed one after the another.. and you reply all of them one by one..you still get the approval much faster than filing online.

Moral of the Story : Apply by regular mail. No E-file!!
