EAD Renewal

My wife wants to renew her EAD. Her last EAD expired in Dec 2003. But she is not working right now. Does she need to renew her EAD ? Heard from some friends, during informal chat, that if there is a GAP in EADs ... INS may cause some trouble in second (or next) EAD renewal.

Any thoughts or truth in rhumor.

BTW, I'm the primary applicant for I-485 and have always had contnuious EADs.
 
No problem.MY wifes EAD expired on Jan 10,but she applied for renewal of feb 4th and got approved on March 6th without any problem.If she is not working then there is no Need to Renew EAD.
