EAD renewal time..

Hi..
my H1b is expiring this december.. I already got my EAD but did not use it till now..my employer is asking me to work on the EAD..
but the EAD is expiring in April 2001..when should I be applying for the renewal? how long does it take to renew EAD ?
does it depend on my EB category? I am EB3..India..
any help ?!!

EAD renewal does not depend on EB category.

U should apply atlease 3 month in advance so that u are safe

thanks raki for the response..I hope my employer will agree to me working on H1b itself..mainly for travel..if for any emergency, i
 have to go to my native country..
