My wife received her notice to appear to get her renewal EAD in Houston on Feb 3,2004. I have a question however. Will she get fingerprinted again? On the letter is says to bring the following:

- appointment letter
- photo ID ( driver license, student ID etc)
- employment card
- original birth certificate and original mariage certificate

Are there any other documents that we should bring just in case???? Should I get a letter from her company saying that she is working?

we received it very quick (Houston, TX) applied in Dec and already received it the notice to appear.
Will she get the card the same day?? or something showing that she is able to keep working?

Thanks

I am from Houston, I have applied Oct 1st , But i didn't get it. MY First EAD is going to expire this month 27th.

Yesterday(01/22/04) I went to Local INS (Greens Point Rd-45 N) around 7.15 then there was a queue almost 200 ppl(yellow Line). around 8.15 went to the window then i showed them my EAD recipt and Card. then they gave me token number. It says 2.33 min waiting time.
we sat on the seats then counting the number. around 10.45 my number came then i went to the window, that madam said that, she is going to give me 3 months only, and asked about AP , but she said no, coz they are reviewing. then she said, yo have appointment on 01/23/03(today) at 7 am.

Today we went to around 7.20 am. we went to direct EAD section.(Red Line) We put appointment letters on the table. after 5 minutes somebody came and pick them. after 45 min our time came then they showed me some form and verify all info is correct or not. then we got the Photos after 10 min they gave me the cards .

Good luck............

are there any other documents that I should bring?

also she got a notice to appear letter.. does that mean we go to the red line??? or yellow line?

it says to show up at 8:00 am however should we show up at 7:00 am or even earlier? does she have to wait in line or since she has a letter does she have an appointment?

thanks

rflores2323,
Just go Red line between 7 - 7.30 and put ur appointment letter on the table (Left side).
And take EAD card(if u have old one) and DL with u.

yes my wife was working on her 1st EAD. and Im a US Citizen (born here) so I dont need an EAD. :)

also we went yesterday for the appointment and it went very smoothly! We followed the red line and put our appointment letter in the box about 7:30 am and then an officer called us about 30 min later. and we were out of there by 8:30 am.

I am very surprised that we got the EAD so soon.
we applied in Dec and already got it. now we are waiting on her AP to get approved. She also has a fingerprinting appointment (2nd one) on march 5.

well Im just happy that her EAD did not expire and she is still able to work. We need the income and she is making a good career job out of the job she is at right now. Im very proud of her.
