EAD renewal question

My husband is going to renew his EAD now...

Let me clarify 120 days rules... I guess it is based on the current card expiration date. Basically the question is when he can send the renewal application out? On the date that the card expires (going back to 120 days) or the date that USCIS actually receive the application? Any big guy can give a clear answer on this?

Also, what should he fill out for the question: Current immigration status (visitor, student...), how about Scientist, or he has to put Adjustment of Status?

Many thanks!

I'm a relatively small guy, not really very big, but I'll try to give you an answer if you don't mind:

1- I don't understand the distinction you're trying to make (On the date that the card expires (going back to 120 days) or the date that USCIS actually receive the application?). But the answer is that when USCIS receives the I-765 application, and they open it in their mail room, the current EAD (the one that's being renewed) should not be valid for more than 120 days into the future. It's not that complicated, actually.

2- "Scientist" is not an immigration status. The correct thing to write is "Adjustment of status".

Thank you very much.

I notice that you have helped many people to provide critical answers, you must be very good...

Do you have a phone number or email that I can reach you in case there is some other urgent issue coming up?

Thanks a lot.
