EAD Renewal Question - Urgent, please reply today.

My first EAD is expiring on Mar. 7th.

I applied for renewal in November 2000. Went to India in Jan. (came
back yesterday). Find that in Feb. NSC had sent a RFE requesting 2 photos.

Questions.:

1) Can I go to St. Louis (ASC from where I got my FP done) with the photos and get the EAD the same day?

2) If not, should I not go to work until I get my EAD renewed?

3) I got my FP done in Dec. and just called FBI and they said that
they have already sent the FP to NSC.
I have not received any info. regarding my 485 application after my
FP was done.

a) IS NSC holding my 485 approval because of the RFE on EAD renewal
or are these two independent of each other?

b) If I go to St. Louis and get the EAD renewed how will NSC know
that EAD is renewed and then proceed with the 485 approval? (Reason
for this question is in the RFE letter, it is stated that I can
submit all the evidence requested, none of the evidence or withdraw
the application for EAD renewal, it does not say that I can go to ASC
(ST. Louis)).

4) What is the phone no. of NSC?
