EAD Renewal Question, Please Help.

I am planning to renew my EAD which expires 11/28/2002
and my details are
RD : 10/01/01
ND : 11/20/01
FP : 03/07/02
VSC , EB2/NJ - India
and my current H1B visa is expiring by Sep 2002 and already used AP .

Question is :
IN EAD Application what should I mention for following items
item 14 : Manner of last entry : ???
item 15 : Current Immigration Status : ???
item 16 : ???

and where should I mail this application.

Hi gc98

Item 14: The last time you entered US. Put here "H1-B" if you entered using that. Or if you used Advance Parole, you can put "Advance Parole".

Item 15: Current Immigration Status. If you are still maintaining your H1-B status you can write "H1-B". In case you are using the EAD then you can put "I-485 Adjustee (Pending AOS)".

Item 16: In the first parenthesis put C and in the 2nd put 9. ie. (C)(9). You can read this in the instructions.

Hope this helps, one of my friends had applied this way and when my time comes to renew, I'll apply in a similar manner.

Please do consult a competent authority if you are not comfortable with the above.

i recently applied with this info:

Advance Parole in column 14.
You have to write “Adjustment of Status pending” in
Column 15,
And ( C ) ( 9 ) in column 16

EAD extension question

Can you file EAD extension on your own without a lawyer support ? If yes, Can you do it in person at your local INS office or mail the application to VSC ? I have to do for myself so any help would be appreciated. My EAD is expiring on Nov 25 and have not yet recieved -485 approval

I filed EAD ext my own.
Here is check list:
 Fee ($120)
 Form I-765
 Copy of I-94(front and back)
 Copy of last EAD(front and back)
 2 photos
 copy of I-485 receipt
 copy of I-765 receipt
 copy of EAD approval
 copy of passport(all pages) or driving license
 Copy of SSN
and request letter

I am also waiting for GC approval. Mine tranfered to baltimore.

If you have returned to the US using your AP, it is assumed that you have chosen to be treated as an immigrant, i.e., your non-immigrant status (H1) becomes invalid. So, your answer to the following question should be as given below:

item 15 : Current Immigration Status : Waiting to Adjust Status to Permanent Resident
