EAD renewal.. Please help

Hello All,

My EAD is due for renewal in October-2002. But I have a valid
H-1B till 2004. But I'm planning to renew the EAD as a backup (in case of unforeseen circumstances.. it helps..). My RD is July-23-2001. Still waiting for approval.
I called IIO and asked for the status yesterday.... She proved to be another useless customer rep who wanted to maintain secrecy. She told me that she could not reveal information if my case was assigned to an officer or not.. And about EAD renewal, she said it was up to me to renew it or not... Just another bad day for me..

Since we can renew the EAD ourselves(without attorney's help), How can we type on the PDF file(EAD)?

Could anybody help me in this.

Your ideas are greatly appreciated.

I changed my employer after 180 days but my GC has not been
approved(RD 08/06/2002).Meanwhile EAD renewal is due August end? How can I do without the help of lawyer and would it cause
any problem since I changed the employer
 
Hi Friend,
I am also July victim,RD 19 July.I changed job after 9 months of 485 pending.My EAD is expiring on Sep 6,so I applied for EAD renewal for myself and wife on my own and I received my renewed EAD in just 2 weeks.I was very surprised.In EAD application form they just look for your pending 485.
I sent the foll. documents with my application.

Passport copies
copy of 485 receipts
previous EAD copies
the top portion of the form in which I received my previous EAD cards.

and thats all I think...yes application fees also.

Still waiting for approval and very frustated by the delay.

EAD renewal

Yes nimbak, you can renew your EAD on your own. Fill out the form I-765 with the necessary documents and mail it to INS with a Fee of $120 in favour of USINS.
Your EAD will be renewed.

An attorney does nothing in this aspect.. Nothing to do with employer too..

But I am not sure how to type on the EAD PDF file. If you know please let me know. Or else the other option is to fill it Handwritten(legibly).

Fillable Forms

Try www.immihelp.com. You should be able to find a link for fillable forms, you can directly type into the PDFs there and save them to your disk as needed.

But do verify the versions of the forms that you are filling are in sync with the ones on INS web-site i.e. they are the latest.

Well GCJuly I just filled the form with a black pen and attached the necessary documents.That is it,I dont think they care whether it is hand filled or computer typed.
Just do it.

See ya and please let me know whenever you get an approval.I was thinking that I am the only one in July RD who has not been approved yet.
 
Typewriter at Kinkos helps

I used to fill up these forms using Kinkos electronic typewriter. But hand written is certainly fine.

Yes.. JNBN.. I also feel frustrated at not getting my approval...

But patience is the only solution!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try Adobe Reader 5.0

You could try Adobe Reader 5.0 - you might have to be online - it's a web based - so you should be able to type things (but not save! - c'mon it's free).
