EAD Renewal -- NSC / Local office

Guys,
Mine and my wife's case has been transfered to local office. I applied for my 4th EAD renewal ( efile ) at NSC this year. I got an RFE to take biometrics appointment. Unfortunately the RFE was issued on the same day I took my biometrics. I replied back to NSC with a copy of I-765 confirmation reciept which had the biometrics stamp. The case status got updated, the LUDs changed for 2 days and then stopped. Its been one week since the RFE response was received by NSC.
How many day does it generally take for the case to get approved at NSC once the response for RFE has been received.

Should I have applied at Local office for EAD renewal ?

Now my wife's EAD is also expiring I am confused if I should apply at local office for her or at NSC. Please suggest me something.

We also took our I-485 interview at local office after I applied for my EAD.

Thanks

i don't think you can apply for EAD at the local office. You have to apply at NSC.

my opinion only

i think he means interim EAD at the local office. my best guess is that u an apply for interim EAD at the local office. however the 90 day rule for interim EAD does not work if you get an RFE as the clock restarts to the day your RFE response is received. But I think if the RFE is for Biometrics they let you apply for interim EAD 90 days after your receipt date. My wife is in a similar position and I would love to hear the update on your case.
