EAD Renewal Nightmare

I am dependent and have 485 pending since dec 2002
my ead expired june 26, (luckyly i kept hi so lesson for all) and here is the saga

applied ead renewal may march 11 ( 90 day in advance)
wifes (primary) ead approved april 20 :)

my application rfe sent may 10
i never received rfe after 14 days as i was about to call ins, status changed to

we received response to rfe on may 25 blah blah

so we wrote letter to ins saying we never received rfe, how can we respond to it...

on june 1 the rfe was resent as indicated by online status and we received it this time- it was for fotos
we sent in the response on june 24- and just yesterday on june 25 the staus changed to guess what

we sent a notice requesting additional informationm on june 25....

i am now so angry and frustrated.... has this happend to anyone on any case//
and as a learning, never never rely on ead , as easy and straightforward the processing seems to be there can alwyas be problems
lets see if its an error or what. and btw, every status update i got email. not this time- so i am hoping its an error

I really sympathize with your ordeal.
This is absolutely outrageous and the most pathetic part is we cannot do a thing about it.
Since you are one of those who is keeping the H1 valid I would share with you what happened in my H1 stamping.

I send my passport for the extended H1 visa to St. Louis. After 4 months time I get them. My visa has correct name but both for my wife and my son my name was incorrectly printed.
Also, my son's sex was changed to Female. :)

What do I do?
Quietly formatted a letter stating the mistakes, scanned the visa pages in color, printed them in color and then resend the passports to Washington.
Got it back in 10 days time and got $45.00 wiser.

I may or may not make you feel better, but just to remind you the nature of the beast.
 
Did you apply online? If not, try that next time. It's faster and more accurate. You can track immediately after you submit the application online.
 
Just wondering, why did it take you more than three weeks to reply to the RFE? (June 1 to June 24). Was the RFE for more than just new photos?
