EAD Renewal - Need Advice Urgently

I-485:
RD - 12/26/2001
ND - 12/31/2001

got EAD on 04/08/02 and this EAD will expire on 04/07/2003

I switched to new Employer on 07/16/2002 on I-9 (EAD basis)

I applied for EAD renewal and got the receipt notice from INS on
01/16/2003.

I haven't got my new EAD and I went to Local INS office to get
the Interim EAD. But they told me that they would issue Interim
EAD after 90 days from the receipt date which would be on
04/16/2003. Since my EAD will expire on 04/07/03 what will be my work status. Am I legally authorized to work till I get my Interim EAD card?. My Employer may not allow me to work from 04/07/03.

Please advice me.

sri2003, don't worry

your iEAD when issued is going to be backdated on the next date after your EAD expiration, so you won't accuire unauthorized employment time.
