EAD Renewal is a must for non working spouse

Hi..
I just need clarification....
I am in the process of filing 4th EAD for my self...
question is - my wife never worked - so while her i-485 (dependent) is pending - is it mandatory to file her 4th ead or it is something legally i should have it for her to stay here?

If your wife is not a primary filer

I don't think so. I didn't renew EAD for my son either because he doesn't work.

You only need to file for her if she is gona work. This is what my attorney said.

EAD is for work only.

Advance parole is for travel only.

If she has any of these or none of these, she is still in legal status to be here. Her status is "I-485 Adjustee".
