EAD renewal? Help

I filed my 3rd EAD renewal on 12/5/03. Received my notice date 12/7/03. My current EAD will expired on 2/4/04. I did not send a copy of my I-94 since my attorney do not ask He sent a copy of my current EAD, I485, EAD mailer.

I am concerned if I will get RFE because of missing I-94? Also was told by my attorney that I should not be working after 2/4/04 if my EAD is not approved by then? What are my alternatives?

On average its taking 3-5 months to get EAD renewed, if you get an
RFE your case might get processed faster.

There is no alternative to having an authorized work permit, if you
employer is ready to file or renew H1B visa go for that or if your employer is cooperative, they can delay your paychecks until you get your permit renewed.
 
In addition to what vsc_babu said, you can get an interim EAD from your local INS if your EAD is still not approved after 90 days of applying for EAD.
 
3rd EAD

thanks. I just hope that I will received my approval before expiration and if not my company will allow me to continue my services. My next biggest concern if company decided to lay off me because of EAD, then this is bad news as my I-485 was transferred to local office 3 days after filing my EAD extension. Problems after problems......
 
if NSC

If you filed under NSC, you should get your EAD by end of Jan 2004. in my case (renewal), I filed on Nov 5th and got EAD card on 3rd week of December.
 
not NSC

Mine is under VSC. I am still hoping and waiting. do hope to receive before first week of Feb. Just getting worried as I see that everyone submit EAD renewal with a copy of I-94. I didn't as attorney did not ask that. Hoping that it will not trigger RFE!
