EAD renewal - got a RFE in 12 days

just checked on line status, my 2nd EAD renewal got a RFE on June 18th, 12 days after it was received! The receipt said it takes 150-180 days to process this kind of cases.

Any one know what the RFE could be?

RFE about Special Registration

I received an RFE last week about "Special Registrtion" and after I reply I got approve today. This was my third EAD renewal.

God help us all

are u guys from muslim countries? maybe rfe is another way to find whether ur registered or not
 
I am not from a country requires special registration

I did not include the finger print card with my renewal appliction, could that be it?

I agree, but I just wonder how come they don't know already since I did my registration at the INS office. I think they don't have access to that info. Strange!!!!!!!

No they don't require finger prints card anymore

Hi tsc77,

I also got RFE for my 2nd EAD on 6/13/03 and I am from India. It was for 140 approval notice. I have seen this kind of RFEs on this forums EAD issues. I feel The immigration officers are checking for underlying 140 cases of concurrent filers. I sent the reply with I 140 approval notice and waiting for EAD approval.

I dont think my lawyer include my I-140 approvals with the renewal application. I hope that is it.
