EAD Renewal for L2 Visa

Hi,

I am on L1 visa and my wife is on L2. Her EAD is expering in Feb 2006. She has applied for renewal of EAD and received the receipt with Notice dat of 12/22.

My question is can she work after Feb 2006 if she has not received any response on her EAD renewal application?

She can only work with a valid EAD.
