EAD renewal for homemaker

Do I need to renew EAD for my non-working wife. Her H-4 has expired and we are done with 6 years limit. I am renewing my EAD.

Please help.

NO, you don\'t. Since she has filed a 485, she is in status. The EAD is needed is she wants to work!!

There is no harm if renew it. Becuase it is very useful as identity.

If you don\'t care for the $100 fee, then go for it.

It doesn\'t matter for the status, but she decides to work suddenly, then EAD approval takes more then 3 months.
