Sent to VSC for both spouse and myself:
I-765 forms;
I-94 copies;
EAD Card copies;
Copy of EAD mailers, both sides (not original!);
Copy of I-485 receipt notices;
2 photos for each applicant;
Cover letter.
EAD
RD 09/11 (what a day. mailed my docs to the lawyer for I-485 one year ago exactly on same date);
ND 09/13
09/17 Notice Mailed
09/19 Checks cashed
09/19 Notices received
10/10 Approved, Cards ordered
10/15 Cards received
Wife's new card had exactly same validity dates as old one.
Called INS on 10/16, brought wife on the line, spoke to very helpful and friendly officer. He agreed to RE-APPROVE her EAD with right dates (2003 to 2004) right away (I could never imagine that IIO can RE-APPROVE application), and asked to mail invalid card on same day, because, as he said, he went ahead and as per procedure rules he must have been waiting for old card before re-approval. He provided with his name and badge number and asked to put this info on the envelope.
I was so shocked by such a kindness, so forgot to ask him about I-485 status
I checked online status on same evening, and it changed to "On October 16 we ordered new card..." from "On October 10".
New card was received 2-3 days later.
2 weeks later I called INS another time to ask about approval notices for I-765 which I didn't receive, but was told that there is no such thing, and card itself it best approval notice by itself.
I also asked her about I-485 she said it hasn't been assigned and said correct RD (not ND).
My I-485 info as follows:
RD 10/26
ND 12/05
FP 03/28 (conducted on 04/20 due to some circumstances)
FP Cleared on 04/24
EAC-02-055
I wish everybody including myself to get approved ASAP, and INS to have more such cooperative officers.
