My case details:
140 approved
485 transferred to newark from nebraska in May 2004
Filed EAD extension to Nebraska in Sep 2005, got transfered to newark.
On december 29th, 2005, we went to newark at 7.30 for 8.15 appointment (infopass).
They allowed us onto the 3rd floor at 8 AM.
The lady at the counter asked me whether i had biometrics done. I said no as this is paper based. She did not listen to me and talked to supervisor and then gave two tokens (one for me and other for my wife).
After long wait (3 hrs), someone checked our passports, took finger prints and photos and gave the cards to us. Gues what, mine was for an year and my wife's was for only 2 months. Then we approached the immigration officer who was impatienet already told us that my wife got for only 2 months since her file has not reached Newark (Note that it was transfered in Oct)> Then we showed the transfer notice, some how (God's help), she went inside and checked and found the file. May be they were checking on my last name. My wife's last name is different. They did the FPs again and gave the second card. But the stress we went through was very painful.

passport with I94
EAD receipt
