EAD renewal date

Hi,

If I apply for EAD renewal , what would be the start date for it.
Is it the date of the approval or the end date of the previous EAD.
How about AP ?.

Your start date of new card will begin from expiration date of your last one ( no Gaps).

No Rule !

Just depends on the INS officer who adjuncts your case.

Some have got it from the expiry date , others have it form the adjuction date. I have applied for 3 EAD renewals;

2 EAD from the adjuction date : ( Lost 5 months )
1 EAD ... just applied ( hoping for a miracle !@)

Thanks guys. What do you think is a safe time to apply for the renewals. Is 5 months before expiry enough ?. I from NSC.

i Have applied 4 months from expiry and the way NSC is doing it shud be done with in 90-100 days.

Otherwise you can always go to local INS office and get an Interim EAD after 90 days from your ND.

But applying right now will not hurt you at all. I have seen EAD being renewd from thier expired dates.

Yesterday I read many post related with EADs in this forum in which some of the EADs got renewed with dates when officer processed them and sometimes they started with date next to expiry of previous EAD.

So plan ahead.
