You need to send it to Chicago address as your case is with the local office..For persons whose case is transferred to local office, they need to send it to Chicago only as I have checked with an immigration officer. Its upto you to check it out if you still dont believe it. Good Luck!

Chicago office is only for those EAD that are associated with Family-based AOS. Why don't you go to the local office and ask them? EAD is not to be taken lightly. If it expires and you have not received the renewal, you can not work even for a day. You would need to take a vacation. You can also ask about your case. Cases are generally approved the same day of interview or within a few weeks.
