EAD renewal - Boston/Manchester

Hi friends,
Please pardon this repeat ques, but I would appreciate if someone in the same position could pls reply.

My EAD expires in mid-May and I did not realize it until today.

Is the Boston office or Manchester, NH office accepting same day renewals? I got my EAD from the Boston office last year.
Should I even consider going to the Boston office in the cold or simply send it to Vermont?

I heard that they resumed same-day EAD at Boston office. I would go and give it a try if I were you; and this might be worth the try, esp. if you are working on EAD.

BTW, its 58 degrees in Boston right now and whole week its gonna be in 40-50s. Enjoy a nice warm day , its been a long winter.

A week ago, I went to Boston INS office and was turned down for a EAD renewal request. Mine expired in Jan 2003. Did not realise it till March 7.

The reason for denial was since my I485 is pending at Vermont, I am supposed to contact that office only.

FYI:
I went to the Manchester office this morning. The IIO told me that they do not issue EAD renewals anymore. She was doing it until Mar 7; then a memo was sent from the Boston office.
She mentioned that I should not bother going to the Boston off.

I was told to send the appln to Vermont.
Does anyone know how long it is taking to get EAD approvals?

(If the EAD card does not come on time) The officer mentioned that provided the employer is ok, I could continue working with the EAD receipt. Has anyone heard otherwise?
