My wife's EAD expires 6/25/03 and we have applied for renewal on 6/10/03 ( my fault for not applying earlier).
Did any of you try getting the iEAD within 90 days @ BCIS - Chicago ? Do we need to take appointment ? What was the experience ? I appreciate your response.
though i have not renewed my EAD i have obtained my iEAD from BCIS in chicago. no need for appointment(don't know about renewal). make sure you are there by 6:30 am. really nice people. they go all out to help you.
I had taken my I765 and my passport. the lady just checked the RD on my I765 and entered in the LIN number in her system to make sure that it had not been issued by NSC and once she confirmed it she wrote walk-in on my application and asked me to go to another counter where my application was accepted, and later on a iEAD card was issued after fingerprinting and taking my photograph. they take your picture. they keep a copy of your I765 form if they ask for original tell them the lawyer has not sent it to you if you dont have it.
I do not know within the 90 day clause. you can still give it a shot. they are really nice people or atleast they were to me and many others who had come there for the same issue.
