EAD renewal at local INS office! Will it effect I-485 process?

I am planning to renew my EAD at the local INS office BUT would like to make sure if this is not going to create any trouble for me.
I got my 1st EAD from VSC. Would it matter if I renew it from local INS?
Please share your experience as if it is advisable to do so or not.
