EAD Renewal and RFE?

I received a RFE from INS in the last week of July and I sent out the papers to them in Aug. INS updated the AVM saying that they received my papers on Aug21. However my EAD is expiring on 10/25 and I have not applied for the renewal yet. When I talked to IIO few weeks ago I was told that renewal is taking 2-3 weeks. Should I apply for the renewal or wait couple more weeks and see if I get approved?

my honest opinion--> apply for EAD renewal.

I was in the same boat (EAD expiring 10/22/02) and spoke to IIO on 08/16. She told me that my case may possibly be approved in 2 weeks but there is no guarantee. I applied for renewal on 08/16/08, got approval on 08/29/02 and received the actual cards on 08/31/02... BUT .. I still there are no signs for my 485 approval. I am glad i applied for EAD renewal.

I hope and wish the fastest approval for urself and all out there, but u never know how long does it take.
