EAD Renewal AND Memphis INS Office

Has anyone had any expierence in renewing their EAD from INS Memphis office.

My current EAD expires on Jan 15 2000. I applied for renewal in Oct 2000. My RD Oct 17 2000 and ND Oct 23 2000.

What happens if I don\'t get the EAD in time. DO I have to take vacation/time off from my current company?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I can\'t answer your question, but I would also like to know the answer. I guess most people are concerned about I485 messages and ignore EAD messages, although they may know the answer.

I will go to the local INS office the same day the 90 days period is over, with 2 photographs and the receipt notice letter, hoping they issue me one on the spot.

Memphis issues EAD (in a very limited cases) only on mondays. So if you are planning to go there call them first. Also I went there to get my EAD in November as my application for NEW EAD to TSC was more than 90 days, they couldn\'t do anything. They told me to contact TSC center directly.Renewal may be different, but I don\'t know. Best of luck.
