My case was transferred to the local Denver office on Aug 12 '03. My 2nd EAD expires on Jan 02 '03.
According to my attorney, I do not need to apply for a renewal this far in advance and can get it done on a same day basis at the local office.
Is this true ?
My understanding was that once a case is transferred to the local office, I would still need to apply for renwal at the local office. I did not know they do not handle renewal application like the NSC does.
My attorney says I could go to the local office about 15-20 days before my EAD expires get my enw EAD the same day right there.
(That works great for me, I save on attorney fees).
But I just wanted to confirm this, not wanting to risk not getting my EAD in time.
Any expert opinions anyone ?
