EAD Renew or New one

My EAD was expired two months back and now I just efiled for EAD. In the question 'If I am applying for new one or renewal', I selected renewal. Am I supposed to select the new one? Should I call USCIS and have it changed?

can someone please reply?

Renewal is correct, whether it is expired or valid.
