EAD renew FYI

I had send My EAD renew documents to VSC - by myself. VSC received it on 10/14 , my renewed EAD was approved on 11/18 and I got new cards on 11/23. This is just an FYI for all whi have applied for EAD renew within last month or so and are still waiting.

Thanks! A silly question. Does your renewed EAD card date start from the date the previous one expires or does it put a date on the date it is approved.

For example if the 1st card was from Jan 01 to Dec 01

Does the renewed card start from Jan 02 or 11/18/01?
 
Your new EAD card will have the start date as teh next day of your previous ones expiry date..

eg. let us say your previous card expires on 12/20/2002. Then your new card will be valid from 12/21/2002 to 12/20/2003. This date does not depend on approval date.

My new EAD is starting from the day my prev. EAD was expiring- Sometime in Dec. 02

What is the process for EAD renewal and what documents are required?

Here is what I had send :-

1.$120 processing Fees Write A# in memo line of the check
2.Two (2) photographs. Write A# at the back
3.INS Form I-765
4.Mailer from previous EAD Card
5.Copies of the following supporting documents:
a.Passport pages
b.Copy of I-94 card (front and back)
c.Copy of I-485 application receipt
d.Copy of Current EAD (front and back)
6. A Cover letter to INS explaing why I need renewal.

I guess cover letter is optional, its upto u if u wanna send it.

Put all these documents in envelope. Put $ 120 Check at the top . Use paper clips and rubber band to hold documents together, Do NOT use stapler. (read INS website for details if needed).
 
EAD renew please help

Please help with EAD renew. I don't have copy of I485 application receipt.
If I send following documents would it work
