(EAD) Receipt number is linked to another account

Hi, I just applied to renew mine and family's EAD (we have have our individual online USCIS accounts)
One of my kids needed correction in birthday for which i provided relevant documentation

The confusion i faced was that we all received txt messages from USCIS that application received and a receipt has been sent (That is satisfactory)
but when i logged in individually to each account, it did show the new receipt number (automatically added) with status saying receipt has been sent

However, the kid who needed correction doesnt show the new receipt number . when i try to add the new receipt number manually, it shows error as under

Any thoughts ? anyone went through that ?

my only guess is that USCIS probably made a new account for my kid, if that is that case then i worried that new account means , new profile, means new social security ??? Just speculating
 
As i guessed,

Changes to your particulars / profiles ends up in having a new account made by USCIS

I received new receipt / new separate letter from USCIS instructing to make a new account. I can see new corrected details over there

I will follow up with Social Security to see if corrected details have reflected with them automatically or not

will update here
 
SSA said that i have to visit them in person or mail them original documents for correction along with new receipt letter from USCIS

I'd rather visit in person than mailing them my documents

I also emailed USCIS. The only response i received from was that they are working on it and will get back to me soon. Its been 3 weeks already so i will schedule a visit to Social Security and get done with it myself
 
Of course you know it better, But just a thought...rather going for corrections (its usually headache when you work w/ govt agencies), you can submit one new application
