I am very happy to see our EAD is approved. Our RD for 485 is 18 oct. 2001. After waiting for the 485 approval we applied EAD renewal only on November 13, 2002. Today I just checked online and here is the message,

On December 17, 2002, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Processing normally takes between 60 and 90 days. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

May it looks like INS approved lots of EAD on this date so every one applied for EAD just check online.

Thank god. great relief and going to wait for 485 approval peacefully.

I have a different status message...

My EAD renewal (EAD renewal RD: 11/04 and AD: 12/18) was also approved today. However, I get a different message than yours:

"Receipt Number: EAC030325****

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On December 18, 2002, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours."
________

Looks like they have different sets of messages for similar approvals(?).

Best wishes,

Jigesh

This is the message they post when they approve yr application. After a couple of days the message will change to .."after aproving yr case..blah blah..cards were ordered..blah blah.

I recently got my EAD renewal, so this is my first hand experience.

Thanks gcwait000, for your input. I initially thought the same but then I read that they say "an approval notice was mailed on 12/18/02..." so I thought they already mailed me "something." Do you mean that first I will get an approval letter only and after several days I will receive EAD card in a separate mail from the INS? Anyway, I believe message might change after a couple of days as you said.

Thanks.

The mesg has not changed in my case as yet.
I already recd the card which i think is the approval notice that they mention in the mesg.

this is my experience.

Thank you handsome, for your update. I guess it doesn't matter what the message says as long as card is received intact! It's interesting though to see small variations here and there...

May be the message is going to change

I am not sure but I am just speculating. May be your message will change after some time ...

In my case I havn't checked anything yesterday and today afternoon when I checked this current message is there. May be u have to wait little more to see the new message.

Or the other possibility could be when ur current EAD is expiring. Mine is expiring Jan. 02. 2003 so there is not much time left to get the new card. This is also a guess.

Just for the information of those who participated on this thread....

I got the renewed EAD in mail yesterday (12/23) and its validity starts from the next day of expiration of previous card until one more year. The online status still sings the same song ("approved;" and not "card ordered" as was in case of few on this thread). Just thought of updating for general information/interest.

Happy holidays!
