EAD questions

I got the EAD today - it is for one year till 7/2008. See details in my signature.
Questions:
1. EAD has to be renewed every year if GC is pending?
2. Now that I have EAD, do I have to still renew H1-B visa (it is expiring September 30, 2007)
3. As per anybody's experience here - once we get EAD - how long does it take to get the GC (on average).

Yes

It depends. If you want to keep your "H" status, you need to work on your H-1B visa. Having an EAD and using it are two different things. The moment you start working on EAD, you lose your H status and come under adjustment status.

3. As per anybody's experience here - once we get EAD - how long does it take to get the GC (on average).

There is no correlation between EAD approval and GC approval in terms of timeframe. EAD is approved as a routine process the moment you submit your I-765 along with I-485. Getting GC approval depends on a lot of other factors.
